TANCLEAN - PEOPLE AND BACKGROUND
   
TANCLEAN™ was founded by Mr. Sunil Uplap, in early 2000. A Mechanical Engineer by qualification, and having an industry experience of over 23 years, TANCLEAN™, was conceived and developed after he saw, to his utter shock and disbelief a bunch of filthy looking guys, dressed almost in tatters, chewing tobacco and spitting it around, getting inside a drinking water tank of a Co-op. Housing Society in an up-market locale of Pune, to clean(?)This ghastly sight itself was enough to trigger an immediate need to develop and start a Professional and Scientific System to provide our fellow citizens a fool-proof and perfect system to provide them their basic necessity of life - WATER, in its safest and cleanest form.

After rigorous research and development for a Scientific and Professional system to Clean and Disinfect Drinking Water Storage Tanks, for more than one and a half years, commercial operations were started in Thane and some parts of Mumbai.

Looking into the success of this long needed specialized service, the TANCLEAN™ Concept was promoted to other cities and towns in Maharashtra through a Franchise Model. With the immediate acceptability of the Brand and the Concept in major cities in Maharashtra the franchisee network grew very fast to other states of the country. Today, the TANCLEAN™ Franchise network covers almost all more than 96 cities and towns in almost Twenty One States in India. Mr. Sunil Uplap is assisted by a committed team of professionals who take care of the total support system built for the benefit and the development of the network of Committed Franchisees. Tanclean is also the recipient of the "Best Franchisor Award" three times in a row in Service based Franchise opportunity, and also the Essential Services Award on a National platform.

For a brief period of about three years from April 2005 till June 2008, Tanclean had joined hands with the Earth-Water Group. Now Tanclean is a part of the Shubham Group founded by Mr. Sunil Uplap, and which is dedicated to specialized and never-thought-before products and services for the betterment and protection of our environment and mankind.

The other group companies are Shubham Equipments Pvt. Ltd., Enviroclean Ventures Pvt. Ltd., and Shubham Inter-links. The group operates out of the corporate head office located in Thane near Mumbai.
